Outdoor Speaker System

What Is Available In Outdoor And Wireless Stereo Speakers

iStock 000014571955XSmall
Wireless outdoor speakers have become an important patio, deck or pool accessory for music lovers. Music helps create the right atmosphere for parties and lazy evenings outside and your speakers can be so well placed that your guests will not be able to tell where the music is playing. Also, wireless speakers can put the music exactly where you want it. No need to have the sound on the porch too loud so that it can also be heard out on the patio or in the pool.

Wireless outdoor speakers usually have a range starting from 100 feet and can even go up to 350 feet or more. The strength of a wireless outdoor speaker system has now reached the level that we do not have to compromise the quality of our music. And any problem with interference from other electronic equipment in the home has been filtered to the bare minimum now.

Wireless indoor outdoor speakers are compatible with almost all types of audio players, whether they are capable of wireless transmission or not. They are available in a wide range of colors and designs, making it easy for a homeowner to choose a speaker model that appeals to them. They can be hidden in shrubs or disguised as rocks.

There are a lot of stereo speakers available in retail stores. But the selection of types and models of wireless outdoor speakers is very limited. For more comparisons and choices just.. Click Here.

Selecting the best outdoor speakers can be tricky. You have to consider many things: size of the area to cover; distance from the broadcast point; quality of the sound desired; durability of the speakers; money to spend… etc. Of course names such as Bose’ and JBL carry a high reputation and may carry a high price as well. Other lesser known units may be just as good with a smaller price tag.

The difference in waterproof outdoor speakers and water-resistant can be crucial and somewhat confusing. Water resistant speakers would be OK on a porch or covered area that is exposed to the elements but not to direct rain, dew or water sprinklers. In those areas such as out beside a swimming pool they would need to be completely waterproof.

A wireless outdoor speaker may also need to be recharged because it does not have the power cord which supplies power to the speaker… thus the name “wireless”. Or they may require expensive batteries. If you have power available, like on your porch, but do not have speaker wires run out there, you may want to go with just a wireless stereo and not have the additional hassle of charging or batteries.

Install Wireless Speakers

Is It Something You Can Do Yourself?

Most of the time it is not much of problem installing wireless speakers since the wiring has been eliminated. Running the wires for speakers as well as the electrical voltage can present quite an obstacle in the installation process. Many times it can involve digging through yards and shrubbery beds. And if a concrete patio is part of the equation, then best of luck.

Wireless outdoor stereo speakers are sometimes the best and most economical solution. The problem with replacing batteries or charging the speakers becomes small compared to digging up the backyard and cutting up the patio.

Installation of the speakers themselves should be relatively easy. Most of the high quality or best outdoor speakers come with good instructions. The easiest are the wireless outdoor rock speakers that basically sits on the ground in the shrubbery bed or some other inconspicuous place.

Mounted Speakers

Wireless speakers are usually “surface mount”. That means they are installed on the surface such as the wall, ceiling or eve. You install surface mount speakers by simply marking the mounting holes, drilling the holes out and attaching the speakers with the screws provided. (Find more installation help Here)

Flush mounted speakers are recessed into the wall or ceiling so that all you see is the cover of the unit. This is how you want to install most speakers in your home that have pre-installed wires for the stereo and the power.

Research your speakers from a stand point of sound quality and ease of installation. You will almost always choose the wireless outdoor speaker on your porch, patio or pool area.
